HCFO-funded research led by Ateev Mehrotra, M.D., M.P.H., M.S., was highlighted in Kaiser Health News. The article, "The Walmart Opportunity: Can Retailers Revamp Primary Care? ," features findings related to the experience of retail clinics from the grant's recent publication in American Journal of Managed Care. Mehrotra and his colleagues found that, among a commercially insured study population, there was a dramatic increase in retail clinic utilization between 2007 and 2009.
