HCFO Grantee Quoted in Article on Health Insurance Report Cards

Lawrence P. Casalino, M.D., Ph.D., chief of the Division of Outcomes and Effectiveness Research at Weill Cornell Medical College and formerly of the University of Chicago, was quoted in the March 28, 2010 Better Health article, “AMA Issues First Report Card on Health Insurance [1].” The article discusses a new report card evaluating physician reimbursement by health plans that was released by the American Medical Association. Dr. Casalino completed HCFO-sponsored research that estimated the time spent by physicians interacting with health plans and the cost of these interactions.
