Findings from a study led by Gregg Meyer, M.D., senior vice president for quality and safety at Massachusetts General Hospital, were highlighted in the April 29, 2010 Wall Street Journal blog post, “Could Streamlining Medical Billing Save $7 Billion a Year? ” Dr. Meyer conducted HCFO-sponsored work that examined administrative complexity from the perspective of a large physicians organization, the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization (MGPO).
