Webinar: Traditional and New Methods for Disseminating What Works

Start Date:
March 26, 2013

Join AcademyHealth's Public Health Systems Research (PHSR) Interest Group on Tuesday, March 26, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET, for a free webinar that will guide researchers through varied dissemination options for their findings.
Speakers will focus on techniques to make research available in a form that is as timely and policy-relevant as possible through channels such as new media vehicles, open access publications, and commentaries. The webinar will also include suggestions for tailoring messages specifically to media and policymaker audiences. Several specific methods of dissemination will be highlighted (traditional journals/media, e-journals, and blogs) along with a discussion of potential barriers and strategies for overcoming them.

  • Sarah Kliff, Health Policy Reporter with The Washington Post (moderator);
  • Glen Mays, Editor-in-Chief of Frontiers;
  • David Kindig, Blogger for Improving Population Health
