American Medical News Quotes HCFO-Researcher on Retail Health Clinic Study Findings

HCFO-funded researcher Ateev Mehrotra, M.D., RAND Corporation, was quoted in the American Medical News on findings from his study on retail health clinics. Mehrotra stated that retail clinics may disrupt the patient- physician relationship, as patients who visit a retail clinic are more likely to return to the retail clinic than to return to their primary care doctor for any issue. This disruption in care, however, was not seen in patients with chronic or preventive care issues.
