Findings from a study led by Lawrence P. Casalino, M.D., Ph.D., chief of the Division of Outcomes and Effectiveness Research at Weill Cornell Medical College and formerly of the University of Chicago, were highlighted in the April 29, 2010 New York Times article, “Fueling the Anger of Doctors.” The article discusses physician job satisfaction and the interactions between physicians and insurance companies. Dr. Casalino conducted HCFO-sponsored work that estimated the time spent by physicians interacting with health plans and the cost of these interactions.
