HCFO grantee Stephen Zuckerman, Ph.D., senior fellow in the Health Policy Center of the Urban Institute, has been named to an IOM committee that will examine the accuracy of geographic adjustment factors and the methodology and data used to calculate them, and the effects of the adjustment factors on the distribution of the health care workforce, quality of care, population health, and the ability to provide efficient, high-value care. Dr. Zuckerman served as co-PI on a HCFO grant with Jack Hadley, Ph.D., that examined variation in medical care spending by individual elderly Medicare beneficiaries.
