HCFO Grantees Present at Health Affairs Briefing

On September 8, 2011, Health Affairs held a briefing to unveil its September 2011 issue, "The New Urgency to Lower Costs." The issue featured two articles from HCFO-funded studies and their authors spoke at the briefing. Patricia Ketsche, Ph.D., discussed results in her article "Lower Income Families Pay a Higher Share of Income Toward National Health Spending Than Higher Income Families Do," and Glenn Melnick, Ph.D., presented findings from his study examining, "The Increased Concentration of Health Plan Markets Can Benefit Consumers Through Lower Hospital Prices."
