Findings from a study led by James Reschovsky, Ph.D., senior health researcher, Center for Studying Health System Change, were highlighted in the February 12, 2010, TS-SI News Service press release, “Do Lower Medicare Fees Increase Patient Care Volumes?” The press release highlights findings from Reschovsky’s HCFO-funded research that examined how physicians’ provision of specific medical services to Medicare fee-for-service beneficiaries responds to variations in Medicare physician fees in terms of those services, physician characteristics, and local market factors.
