Why do geographic variations exist in the use and quality of alcohol, drug, and mental health (ADM) care? Thomas Belin, Ph.D. and colleagues examined ADM disorders across geographic regions and found that patients' personal characteristics may help to explain the variation in treatment of AMD conditions.
