E. Richard Brown, Ph.D., In Memorium 1942-2012
May 15, 2012
Richard Brown, one of HCFO's first grantees, passed away on April 20, 2012. He was founding director of the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research.
Focusing on health insurance coverage in California as part of his HCFO work, Dr. Brown explored the relationship between coverage and demographic and employment factors. His analyses included an emphasis on the high proportion of Latinos who are uninsured, both national and in states like California with large Latino populations.
Dr. Brown was extraordinarily generous with his time and talent and will be missed.
