Recently Published HCFO Research Featured on The Incidental Economist Blog [19]

Recently published [20] HCFO research by Jack Hadley, Ph.D., and Jim Reschovsky, Ph.D., was featured on The Incidental Economist Blog. The post, "Not on the Flat of the Curve [21]," noted the finding of Hadley and Reschovsky that, among a sample of Medicare beneficiaries, greater medical care use was associated with health improvements.

HCFO Grantee Interviewed on C-SPAN [22]

HCFO grantee Bradley Herring, Ph.D., of Johns Hopkins University's Bloomberg School of Public Health, was recently interviewed on C-SPAN. The segment, "Americans Without Health Insurance [23]," covered the characteristics of the uninsured population in the United States and how this population will be affected by the implementation of the ACA. 

HCFO Research Featured in The Washington Post [24]

HCFO-funded research led by Alison Galbraith, M.D., of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, was recently featured in The Washington Post. The article, "When Health Plans Go High Deductible [25]," describes the study's finding that those enrolled in high-deductible health plans tend to delay care due to cost at a higher rate than those in traditional insurance plans.

HCFO-Funded Research Featured on The Incidental Economist Blog [26]

HCFO-funded work led by Alison Galbraith, M.D., of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, was featred in The Incidental Economist blog. The post, "The downside of high-deductible health plans [27]," noted the finding of Galbraith and her colleagues that among families with chronic conditions, reporting of delayed and forgone care due to cost is higher for both adults and children in high-deductible health plans than in traditional health insurance plans.
